Chakra Yoga Training
April 16-18, 2010
at West Asheville Yoga
Asheville, NC
$195, ($150 with early bird registration)

Many current teachings about the chakras come from a New Age perspective (post 1970). This training delves into the chakras from the perspective of the ancient Tantrics the yogis who first perceived and wrote about the chakras. It gives an in-depth look at the system as interpreted by Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell and other innovative thinkers. This training will give you tools, crafted through the timeless technology of yoga and tantra, to balance your own chakra system and to help others balance theirs.
To more fully understand and integrate the material, you are encouraged to attend the whole training. However students will be permitted to sign up for individual workshops on a space-available basis.

The yoga tradition offers many specific practices to clear away toxins. Yoga asanas are detoxifying because they increase blood circulation and also the circulation of lymph – which cleanses toxins from the body. In this 6 week series we will look at the yogic science of detoxification and choose practices which target the digestive organs to help clear away excess accumulated during winter. We will also use practices which detoxify the energy body (pranaymaya kosha) and mind. You will be introduced to some dietary measures you may want to implement during the 6 week series to accompany your practice. Other simple cleansing practices will also be introduced. Early spring is the perfect time to detox! Join Kaoverii for this series to cleanse your body and mind.
