kristine kaoverii weber, ma, lmbt, e-ryt has been studying yoga since 1989 in india as well as the u.s., and teaching since 1996. she is the co-director of the ananda marga yoga teacher training program. kaoverii weaves various aspects of the ancient philosophy of yoga into her classes to help students realize their physical, mental/emotional and spiritual potential.

kaoverii's ananda marga yoga training is enhanced by her knowledge of viniyoga, iyengar and anusara techniques. her bodywork and acupressure therapy training is evidenced in her ability to assist students in discovering optimal form, alignment and prana (energy) flow in their practice. kaoverii encourages participants to connect with the deepest part of themselves and to carry that experience into their daily life.

in addition to teaching in yoga studios and health clubs, she has extensive experience working with the elderly and wheelchair bound. kaoverii teaches workshops for the public including: chakra yoga, a day in the life of a yogi and incorporating meditation into your yoga practice. students often comment that in addition to her warm, open style, she has the rare ability to make difficult concepts easily understood. she is also a shiatsu practitioner and has written a book, healing self-massage: over 100 simple techniques for re-energizing body and mind, which was published in february 2005. she lives with her husband bhavesh and son bhaerava in asheville, north carolina.
